Prime Day Board Game Deals: My Take on the Savings

Prime Day 2025 has wrapped up, and as a board game enthusiast, I was glued to my screen, hunting for the best deals. My takeaway from this year? It was a mixed bag. I found some decent discounts, especially for Marvel Champions, but I wouldn't say there were any "super crazy" deals that blew me away. Here's a rundown of what I saw.

The General Vibe: Good, But Not Earth-Shattering

For the most part, Prime Day 2025 was a good chance to grab some popular, well-regarded games at a solid discount. If you were looking to get into the hobby or fill a gap in your collection, you were in luck.

Here are some deals that caught my eye:

  • Azul: This beautiful abstract strategy game was widely discounted, with some retailers offering it for around $20.
  • Splendor: Another fantastic gateway game that saw a significant price cut.
  • Here To Slay: A Strategic Card Game. A Role-Playing Adventure. A Dangerous New World.

While these were all good deals, they felt more in line with what you might see during a typical holiday sale, not the exceptional bargains I've come to associate with Prime Day.

For My Fellow Marvel Champions Fans: Some Heroic Savings

As a big fan of Marvel Champions: The Card Game, I was pleased to see some decent deals on this line. The core set itself was on sale, which is a great starting point for anyone looking to get into the game.

Beyond the core set, I saw a handful of hero packs and expansions with discounted prices. I spotted deals for GamoraBlack WidowAngel, and Valkyrie. I also noticed the Green Goblin Scenario Pack was a good value (at the time, not anymore), offering two fun and challenging scenarios. While not every Marvel Champions product was on sale, it was a good opportunity to add some new heroes and villains to the collection without paying full price.

The Final Tally: What Did You Get?

So, was Prime Day 2025 a win for board gamers? It really depends on what you were looking for. If you were hoping to find a rare, out-of-print game at a massive discount, you were probably out of luck. But if you were looking to expand your collection with some popular titles, try something new, or dive into a game like Marvel Champions, there were definitely some deals to be had.

What about you? Did you score any amazing deals this Prime Day? What did you add to your collection? Let me know in the comments!
